Panther Island Ice Opens This Friday for the Holiday Season It's almost time to hit the ice as Fort Worth's only outdoor ice skating rink is scheduled to open this Friday, November 20 at 3:00 pm. Panther Island Ice is a seasonal ice skating rink located at Coyote Drive-In and will operate through the holiday season until January 18, 2016. It’s the perfect place to take the kids while they’re on break, the in-laws when they’re visiting or to get away from the chaos for a date night. Regular admission is $11 and the rink is open seven days a week including all holidays (read: it’s the perfect place for kiddos to burn off excess energy from all those Christmas cookies). Panther Island Ice produces a number of special events throughout the skating season. The first event will be Dallas Stars Day which will take place on December 6. The Dallas Stars mascot, Victor E. Green, and several members of the Ice Dancers team will be mingling with the crowd for pictures and autographs. In addition, there will be a bounce house, slapshot cage and lots of fun! Panther Island Ice Opens in ONE WEEK! Get ready to make some holiday memories because Panther Island Ice opens one week from today. The ice rink, which features real is located at Coyote Drive-In and will have the Downtown skyline as a picturesque backdrop. The ice rink is separate from the drive-in and a ticket to Coyote is not necessary to skate. However, Panther Island Ice patrons can still utilize the ample parking along with other Coyote amenities such as restrooms and the popular Coyote Canteen. Admission is $11 and includes skate rentals and sales tax. Discounts are available to active-duty military, Guard, Reservists, veterans and their families. Group discounts are also available for parties of 15 or more but advance arrangements must be made.
