STAR TELEGRAM - High-rise residential tower will overlook downtown Fort Worth, developer says A 24-story luxury residential condominium tower with scenic views is in the works just blocks from the center of downtown. Developers say the estimated $100 million project will complement efforts to draw business to the region. Plans for the development, called The Worth, were announced by Robert A. Zamorano, president and CEO of Houston-based Zamco Properties. “This sophisticated contemporary tower is a spectacular addition to Fort Worth and is an important asset to the area,” Zamorano said in a press release. The tower will face North Henderson Street and be bounded by West Bluff Street, Mills Street and West Peach Street. It will feature 115 homes with amenities that includes panoramic views of downtown Fort Worth, the Cultural District, Trinity River and Panther Island. Read More >

Don’t miss the final float, Fort Worth’s coolest party comes to a close this Saturday, August 5. The north segment of the bypass channel, including the highly anticipated Panther Island Promenade, is on track to be fully designed by the end of 2017. The completed design will allow for the future construction of the 1.5 mile long channel. The bypass channel will be constructed to redirect flood waters around the nearly 800-acres of low lying area to the north of Downtown.

The seasonal ale infuses Parker County peaches into the recipe, making it a choice summer brew - light with a slightly fruity finish. Mmmm, get in my mouth! Panther Island Brewing holds public Tap Room Tours every Friday from 5-9pm and Sundays from 2-6pm. For just $10, hop heads and the brew-curious get three beers, plus a cool commemorative pint glass. Gateway Park West Making Huge Strides GATEWAY PARK The finishing touches are being put on Phase 1 of Gateway Park West. The excavation is completed and the area is being seeded for grass growing. Phase 2 of the continued excavation will occur in the central area of the park. The design for Phase 2 is nearly complete and excavation is expected to begin the first quarter of 2018. This continued work provides necessary flood protection for our city and brings Gateway Park another step closer to becoming one of the largest urban programmed parks in North Texas. DID YOU KNOW? Upon completion of the Gateway Park Master Plan, the park will be larger than Central Park in New York City at just over 1,000 acres.

White Settlement Bridge Making Progress Work on the Panther Island signature bridges continues to make daily progress proving 2017 to be a very productive construction period. On July 17, concrete was poured for the first, full scale V-Pier for the White Settlement Bridge. The bridge contractor utilized 200 cubic yards of concrete. With crews placing the concrete on both legs of the V-Pier simultaneously, the pour took several days to complete and cure. Approximately 15,000 gallons of liquid nitrogen was used to keep the concrete cool as surface temps of the truck drums dropped below 40 degrees. Additional pours are anticipated over the next 12-months with a new pours taking place approximately every three weeks.
