Rockin’ the River and Sunday Funday Schedule Changed
Due to high water both series will begin two weeks later than originally scheduled
FORT WORTH, TX -- Due to recent rains and flooding, the Tarrant Regional Water District will release water from upstream lakes for the next 2-3 weeks. This additional water will increase the velocity of the Trinity River, creating unsafe conditions for tubing and watersports at Panther Island Pavilion.
Because safety is a top concern for event organizers, we have delayed the start of the popular Thursday night tubing and music series, Rockin’ the River, to June 25th. The series kick-off show will feature Mike and the Moonpies. Prophets and Outlaws have been rescheduled for August 20th and Brandon Jenkins will now close to series on August 27th.
In addition, Sunday Funday, a laid-back day of family-friendly fun in the sun, will now begin June 28th. The relaxing event will feature tubing, craft beer from Panther Island Brewing, kayak/canoe/SUP rentals from Backwoods Paddlesports at Panther Island Rentals, SUP yoga from The Yoga Project Fort Worth Studio, disc golf from Funkytown Flyers and more. Food will be available for purchase from various vendors throughout the series such as Chez Flo, Gepetto Pizza, Smokey's BBQ and Tail Feathers Wing Wagon. Refreshments such as juice from The Juice Caboose and snow cones from Snowpoke will also be available at all events this summer.

TRVA prides itself on having pet-friendly events. To promote this theme Sunday Funday now benefits the North Texas Humane Society. All proceeds from the custom t-shirts will be donated to the North Texas Humane Society. In addition, the Humane Society will be at Sunday Funday several times throughout the summer hosting on-site adoption events.
