FORT WORTH, Texas
– The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, released today, pursuant to publication in the Federal Register, a draft supplement to the Final Environmental Impact Statement for the Upper Trinity River, Central City Project, Fort Worth, Texas, which was completed in January 2006. The supplement proposes alternative locations for the required hydraulic mitigation and the relocation of the Samuels Avenue Dam.
A public meeting is scheduled for January 24, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. in the Horizon Room of the InnSuites Hotel, Trinity Suites and Resort at 2000 Beach Street, Fort Worth, Texas, 76103 to present the draft supplement and to receive comments from the public.
Comments to the draft supplement to the EIS will be accepted for 45 days until the close of business on February 19, 2008.
