Mayor Betsy Price will announce the winner at Mayfest and Tim Love will present the award to the winning team.
The Trinity River Vision Authority is wrapping up the 2nd Annual Fort Worth River Art Competition where three area colleges created larger than life Polyurea sculptures that will float in the Trinity River. Two winners will be determined, one by a panel of esteemed judges and another by public voting via text, online and Twitter.
The judges have spoken and now it is time to hear what the people thought. The general public has had two weeks to submit their vote for their favorite sculpture and we are ready to announce the People’s Choice Award winner! The people’s choice award winner will be announced by Mayor Betsy Price at Mayfest. The winning team will have their sculpture placed on display in the Trinity River alongside the Colonial Golf Course during the 2012 Crowne Plaza Invitational Golf Tournament for the nation to see! In addition, chef Tim Love will announce a special prize sponsored by The Woodshed that will literally “raise a glass” to the Trinity River.
The contest is hosted by the Trinity River Vision Authority, sponsored by the Tarrant Regional Water District and coordinated by JT Grant. The schools competing are The University of Texas at Arlington, Tarrant County College Trinity River Campus and Tarrant County College Northeast Campus. Special guests will include Mayor Betsy Price and chef Tim Love.
